Significance of the artwork :
Big Brother, video surveillance, dictatorship, reduction of language, manipulation of thought... In 1948, the author George Orwell had already imagined a world so close to the one we live in.
For journalist Himad Messoudi, dystopia is the opposite of utopia. But what they have in common is the desire to reveal the defects of society. The dystopia presents a nightmarish vision of the world in order to show in what chaos we could be plunged.
It is worth thinking about: don't many positive utopias turn out to be as terrifying as the dystopias beloved of Orson Wells?
